My Journey Into Blogging.
We all know that there is nothing good as doing what you love in life. Remember what you love entails something that you can do even without payment, you do it because you enjoy doing it day in day out. You do it because of the passion you have for it. I hope you have identified yours and enjoying doing it. As for me, you already know it is Blogging.
In life there are only two options to choose from every morning, either to wake up and chase your dreams or to continue sleeping, dreaming and wishing.
I realized my potential in Blogging and online stuff in 2012, I did a lot of research just to find out how one can earn a living working online. I came a cross a good number of stories that touched me. One question I kept asking myself was "how can this happen?"
In 2014, I joined Social Biz Connect (SBC), which is an Internet Marketing Company based in Nairobi, Kenya. I was so eager for a job since I didn't have one. I worked there as a social media and internet marketer from January to August. For the eight months, I learned how to create online content, online marketing, social media marketing and public relation in business perspective.
From the skills I learned at SBC, I decided to start my blog. This was in September the same year. It was not easy, I used to post 3 articles per week, I could go to a cyber and spend Ksh 30 for 1 hour, this was enough because I could write 3 posts, publish on my simple blog then share on my Facebook and Twitter accounts.
In 2015, I joined Lolwe Tv (LTN), it was such a good opportunity for me because I could do my blogging stuff once I'm through with the office work. After some months, I left my simple blog for Wakenya Trending, I used the blog for one year (July 2015 - July 2016). Despite the huge fans I had on it, I dropped it for my simple blog that I started blogging with. Within few months, I managed to improve its look by designing, hosting and giving it a domain in my official names.
I do write news, inspirational, life style and business related articles. I also write about various ways through which one can make money online legitimately. I tell you what works and what doesn't and how to identify frauds. Most of the articles I do surrounds about the reality of life. What happens in our day to day life and how they affect us.
Finally, for those who wish to join the field of blogging, I'm always here and ready to guide you step by step until you get it right. The only thing you need to know is that blogging is like any other job, in fact it is a business. Therefore, you must take it serious to be successful. Also know that for you to start making money from blogging, you must put in effort. It won't happen over night but will take some time. Most of bloggers that are successful started blogging without money in mind, some begun doing it as a hobby.
I'm a very proud blogger because it has changed my life in a bigger way.
If you are also doing what you love, well and good, if not, it is never too late, continue chasing your dreams however big they are. Never lose hope because everything is possible if you believe. Most of all, your prayers are very important.
